Role Overview:

Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis, enhance educational programs for children, and work closely with the leadership team to embed high-quality practices. As an Early Childhood Teacher you will actively support every child to participate, thrive, and achieve. Working closely with your team, you will ensure high-quality, play-based, and child-led educational programs that reflect the principles and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework, in line with the National Quality Standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing a holistic approach to enhance each child’s individual abilities and interests
  • Creating and maintaining an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy and productive learning environment
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with children, families, carers and other team members
  • Keeping records of children’s progress, routines and interests
  • Ensuring compliance with routines, policies, processes and practices
  • Thorough understanding of mandatory reporting obligations
  • Thorough understanding of the rights of the child
  • Ability to engage children in activities appropriate to their interests and abilities
  • Ability to develop appropriate and sustained relationships with children
  • Willingness to learn and continue to learn alongside children and our teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to follow directions and undertake tasks at all levels
  • Possess the personal attributes of optimism, resilience, and flexibility

Qualifications and other requirements:

  • Cert III or Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification)
  • Minimum 2 Years of experience in an Early Childhood Service
  • Experience in implementing and delivering a Kindergarten program
  • Knowledge of the National Education and Care Services Act and Regulations 2011 and the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and ECEC National Quality Framework and Standards.
  • Have valid First Aid and CPR
  • Have valid working with children check
  • Experience in the development and delivery of high-quality early years education programs.
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop team members and oversee the delivery of the kindergarten program.
  • A passion and enthusiasm for learning
  • A desire to create warm, secure and inviting learning spaces for children
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to enhance a great team environment
