Within four weeks of receiving sufficient and complying evidence of competency in all applied for units of competency.
This Beauty Therapy certification reflects the role of an individual working as a beauty therapist, providing a range of beauty services and treatments, including make-up, nails, waxing, brow and lash treatments, and massage. You will show skills in communicating with clients about their preferences, recommending services and treatments, and retailing cosmetics and skin care products. You will be able to demonstrate well-developed technical skills, and an ability to adapt it to your clients’ needs, using your judgment in providing customised beauty services and treatments. You must be self-motivated and able to provide limited guidance to your personnel working in beauty spas and salons.

Your dedicated consultant will guide you through the process of putting together a portfolio of evidence. This can contain overseas qualifications, transcripts, certificates, photos and videos, samples or work examples, letters of reference, your current resume, etc.
Once one of our partner registered training organisations (RTOs) has assessed your portfolio, the assessor assigned to your case may be in touch if any additional evidence is required. If you have any weak areas, the RTO may assign a trainer to upskill you at no cost to you.
ITEC Australia is partnered with Registered Training Organisations whose qualifications are nationally recognised in Australia, and are the same as the qualification you would receive from full time study. Qualifications can also be useful for licensing or immigration purposes.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work as beauty therapists to provide a range of beauty therapy treatments and services, including lash and brow treatments, nail services, make-up, massage and waxing. They communicate with clients to recommend treatments and services, and sell retail skin care and cosmetic products.
These individuals undertake work independently, with limited guidance from others, to perform routine and non-routine activities and solve non-routine problems. They apply and adapt technical skills and knowledge and use judgment in the provision of beauty treatments and services. These individuals are responsible for their own outputs and provide limited guidance to others.
Work is typically conducted in beauty salons and spas.
The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.
No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
